Small-town girl turned internationally beloved singer/songwriter Meiko is scheduled to follow up her 2008 debut with sophomore full-length The Bright Side. Her self-titled, self-released debut (later reissued on conglomerate Lucky Ear/MySpace/DGC labels) propelled the Georgia-born singer into the public ear with each of its 11 songs finding placement in popular television shows like Grey's Anatomy. The Bright Side was recorded with producers Styrofoam (Postal Service, Of Montreal) and Jimmy Messer (Neon Trees, Kelly Clarkson) and features more of the definition-of-cute contemporary alternative fare that's already won Meiko fans the world over. The album is preceded by videos for two singles, "Stuck on You" and "Leave the Lights On."
